Adults enjoyed the show as much, if not more, than the kids.”

-Mynique Williams

“The reaction of the kids is so great!  They really love your show and are STILL coming to the library to talk about it.  You are very “child friendly” and make them feel comfortable.”

-Nicole Payne
  Ft. Lewis Library

“Everyone involved had a great time!  I’ve had comments from kids, parents, and staff members saying yours was one of the best programs that we’ve had.”
  -Kristin Dermody
  Mukilteo Library

“As a testament to Jeff’s superb rapport with his audience, mid-program the ice cream truck drove by with music blaring and not one child got up to run for a treat.  (Alright, a few looked, but no one left the magic show!)"

-Ann Dalton
  NewCentral Library

"I put out books on magic, card tricks, and juggling, and the children checked all of them out afterwards.  I would love to have him back.  Can we get him on the payroll somehow? ;) ”

The first step to putting your books into the hands of kids in your community is attracting them to the library. And, what draws kids - and their parents - more than magic?

Unlike some presenters who put together a show and do a few library programs during the summer, Jeff Evans presents over fifty library programs each year.  Almost all of these programs are for repeat clients because they know Jeff will draw a crowd and give them a great show.  This marks the seventeenth consecutive year that that the Lacey, Tumwater, and Olympia libraries have invited Jeff to perform!

Their Enthusiasm Won’t End When the Show Ends

After presenting Reading Magic for the St. Vincent de Paul School, school librarian Urdene Rickard writes,

I had one student come back to me the next day and say that he went straight to the public library, activated his card, and checked out a book on magic.  He was inspired!

Jeff always puts in a plug for books and reading, regardless of the show he presents.  Pull the magic books (793.8) from your shelves and have them available for checkout.

I do appreciate his focus on books and reading.  My table of magic books was totally empty after his show.  Just another quality and well executed event.  We need to keep him on our roster for future years.”

Amazement Magic Workshop

Knowing how popular magic is, the idea of a magic workshop – where the kids actually learn easy-to-do magic – is fantastic. Jeff provides the props (ropes, cards, rubber bands, paper, paper clips, gimmicks), hands-on assistance, plus illustrated instructions for the magic taught in the session.  This is an ideal teen program.  Ask for details.

Look for Jeff's two-DVD set Magic Tricks and Secrets for ages 8+ coming in the spring of 2009.
